REFERRALS: UNPREDICTABLEPAID LEADS: STEADY CLIMB
01 · The starting point

Good business, unpredictable pipeline

Cybercloud sells an AI-powered SaaS platform to B2B buyers. Their business ran on referrals and some offline work, which brought in good customers but not predictably enough to plan or grow each quarter.

The challenge was clear: bring in relevant leads from digital, and get them to convert online. So we proposed a transparent pay-per-lead model.

02 · What we did

Three moves behind the 5X

Each move made the next one work harder: a pricing model that kept everyone honest, measurement that showed what worked, and testing that found it faster.

01

Pay per lead, in the open

We proposed a pay-per-lead strategy for paid search and paid social, with full transparency on both sides.

  • Accountability for results from both sides
  • Focus on relevant leads
  • Paid search and paid social as the engines

02

High-intent search and display

Search was the main pillar on Google and Bing, with display layered on top and audiences added to search campaigns.

  • Machine learning bidding with layered audiences
  • Every KPI tracked daily to see which keywords paid
  • 10-point conversion tracking across pages and campaigns
  • Bids, regions, CTR, bounce rate and impression share watched closely

03

Facebook, tested to death

We researched the prospect's mind, then tested everything one variable at a time.

  • Social listening and third-party AI optimization software
  • Decision-makers targeted from the research
  • 250+ split tests by interest, device, platform, age and gender
  • Video content that answered a series of pain-related questions

Measure everything, test one thing at a time

Our whole digital strategy had one purpose: measure exactly where conversions come from, how users behave when they convert or don't, and why. Those insights let us scale campaigns quickly while keeping cost per acquisition in a profitable range.

On Facebook, the research did the heavy lifting. We listened to how prospects talked, targeted the decision-makers, and tested segments separately, so every result pointed to a cause instead of a guess.

05 · Takeaways

What you can steal

01

Put the agency on the hook

A transparent pay-per-lead model gives both sides a reason to care about lead quality.

02

Track the whole conversion path

Landing page and campaign data together show why a keyword works, not just that it does.

03

Test one segment at a time

Separate tests by interest, device, platform and age make every result explainable.

04

Lead with the prospect's pain

Video built around the questions buyers ask themselves was a key part of the success.

Sergiy Solonenko
Founder, Algocentric Digital

I’m Sergiy, founder of Algocentric Digital and a T2D3-certified fractional CMO. I’ve spent 12 years inside B2B SaaS marketing, from demand gen and paid media to full GTM strategy, working with companies at every stage from MVP to Series B.

What I’ve seen over and over: B2B SaaS founders at $2M–$10M ARR don’t need more marketing activity. They need someone to identify which 20% of effort drives 80% of their pipeline, and build a system that compounds from there.

That’s exactly what the Algocentric GTM Growth Audit and fractional CMO engagement is built to deliver.
