How we helped Couples Resort add $1M+ in new revenue
A great resort, a website that didn't quite do it justice, and a Meta report that looked too good to be true. Here's how paid media turned into real growth.

A great resort that was hard to see
Couples Resort is a great resort. That's the easy part to say. The hard part was getting people to see it.
When we started in 2023, the website didn't do the place justice. And there was a second blind spot: nobody could say which ads were actually earning bookings, because GA4 wasn't set up to track e-commerce revenue.
So we had a plan with two halves.
Getting the basics right
We started with the unglamorous stuff. We didn't pour money in. The Search budget stayed roughly flat.
E-commerce tracking in GA4
Every booking came with its revenue attached.
Search moves into SA360
Google Ads and Bing Ads moved into Google's search management platform, so we could run both from one place.
Budget held steady
Growth came from sharper decisions, not a bigger check.
The 15% we found by changing almost nothing
Google pitches SA360 bidding as a way to lift results by around 10% or more. That's the sales line, and we've all heard sales lines.
So here's what we did. We moved Search onto SA360 bidding with target ROAS (tROAS), added shared budgets, and changed nothing else. Revenue climbed about 15%, and efficiency improved along with it.
Fifteen percent doesn't sound dramatic. But nothing else had to change to get it, which makes it some of the cheapest growth in the whole program.
It tells the bidding system to chase revenue instead of clicks or leads.
Money flows to whichever campaigns are earning the most that day, instead of sitting in a campaign that's already maxed out.
Show the place, then follow the guest
The real jump came after year two, and it started with a camera.
GA4 e-commerce tracking and SA360. About $400K in new revenue.
A video team and actors shot on site. Proper video, better photography.
More than $1M in new revenue.
We brought in a video team and actors and shot on site. Proper video, better photography, the kind of footage that makes someone want to book the trip. Then we put it to work.
In year three we added Meta and YouTube, with a small incremental budget that flexed between finding new people and following up with the ones who'd already visited. The same creative ran in remarketing across the channels below, so a couple who watched a video on YouTube saw the resort again when they searched or scrolled.
To make that follow-up work across channels, we connected Meta to SA360 through CM360. By year three, we were looking at more than $1M in new revenue.
Overall ROAS settled around 14–15X, depending on how you cut the data. It came down from year one's 20X as we scaled, which is the trade you want: a lot more revenue at a still very healthy return.
The 50X that wasn't
Here's the part we like telling.
Inside Meta's own dashboard, the numbers looked incredible: about 50X ROAS. Numbers like that deserve a second look.
Once Meta was plugged into SA360 and CM360, we could finally see it next to Search on the same scale. We blended the two to check whether Meta was lifting brand demand, and Meta's real return looked more like 5–7X. Still a solid channel. Just not a 50X one.
Why the gap? Every ad platform grades its own homework, and tends to be generous about it. We needed something that sat outside all of them.
SA360 is the control room
Search, Bing and Meta bidding live in one place, and they all chase the same thing: booking revenue.
CM360 is the referee
It sits outside the ad platforms, so each booking is counted once instead of three times.
Data-driven attribution is the fair share
It spreads credit across everything a guest saw on the way to booking, instead of handing it all to the last click, so YouTube and remarketing finally get credit for the bookings they helped win.
After year one we also tightened tracking so platform reports matched real bookings, moved Search and Facebook off tCPA bidding (which optimizes for cost per conversion) onto revenue-based bidding tied to actual bookings, and improved how CM360 assigns credit. Budget decisions stopped leaning on Meta's flattering numbers.
What it means for your budget
Once every channel was measured on the same scale, moving money got easy. Budget followed the channels earning the best return, and the bidding systems had cleaner data to work with.
A 50X number would have pushed more money into Meta. The real 5–7X number says something better: keep Meta in the mix, but don't bet the budget on it.

Three things we'd tell any marketer
Take any platform's own ROAS with a grain of salt, and check it against real bookings.
Count revenue from day one. Everything gets easier once you can see what's actually earning.
Show the product well. Great creative is what makes remarketing worth doing.

What I’ve seen over and over: B2B SaaS founders at $2M–$10M ARR don’t need more marketing activity. They need someone to identify which 20% of effort drives 80% of their pipeline, and build a system that compounds from there.
That’s exactly what the Algocentric GTM Growth Audit and fractional CMO engagement is built to deliver.
